Technology

Advanced technology

In this day and age, it can be hard to keep up with the latest and greatest technology. One minute you’ve got the hottest new smartphone on the market, the next it’s yesterday’s garbage. At the office of Dr. AJ Gollofon, we take pride in staying on the forefront of modern dentistry. We are dedicated to continuing education and investment in the latest technology so you can rest assured you are getting the best dental care in Seattle.

Micro Etcher

Cosmetic bonding involves the application of a durable tooth-colored resin material to tooth surfaces to improve the appearance of teeth that are discolored, broken, or chipped. The use of our advanced Micro Etcher increases bonding strength, and ensures a seamless and natural-looking cosmetic solution.

Air abrasion

Air abrasion has revolutionized the way we remove decay from teeth. Air abrasion is more conservative in nature, and does not require a dental drill, which is a huge sigh of relief for patients with dental anxiety. Air abrasion uses a powerful stream of air and fine particles to remove and treat tooth decay.

Digital x-rays

One of our patients’ favorite pieces of technology in our Seattle dental clinic is our digital x-ray system. Digital x-rays are faster, more convenient, and safer as they use less radiation than traditional x-rays. You can have x-rays taken in a matter of seconds right from the chair, and view them right alongside the doctor.

Intra oral camera

Our intra oral camera allows us to gain a closer and more accurate understanding of what’s going on inside your mouth. In the past where we had to rely on the magic of sight with the help of a tiny mirror, we can now get an up close and personal, high resolution image to help us better detect decay and disease like periodontitis and oral cancer.

Single tooth anesthesia

Where in the past, in order to numb a tooth, we would have to numb your entire mouth (which we all know can put a damper on the rest of your day), we now have technology that allows us to carefully measure the pressure between tooth and bone, to effectively numb only the tooth requiring treatment.

If you have any questions about any of the technology we have in our office or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact your Seattle dentist, Dr. AJ Gollofon, today at (206) 363-7200. Our office is conveniently located in North Seattle on Lake City Way!
